Parent Governor, Single Central Record

I have been a governor for seven years, several of them as chair of the governing body.
I have four children, two of whom are at Earith, one at Cromwell Community College and
one pre-school age.  My work is also in education as I am a Reader at the University of
Cambridge and Fellow of Gonville and Caius College.

 Victoria Mudge

 Trust Governor, SEND

Although I have no background in the education sector, I have a 5 year old in school
and my 2 year old will be attending the Earith pre-school in due course. I run my own
business, a local gallery, showcasing many local artists along with others from around
the UK. I am also the Committee Secretary for Earith Pre-School and enjoy this
responsibility immensely.

Jane Smith

Trust Governor, Quality of Education

I have an extensive background in Secondary Education as a teacher of science for 28 years and a Vice Principal at a large inner city Academy for 18 of those years. My main role as Vice Principal was leading the Curriculum development and school standards; however I was also very involved in all aspects of school improvement and pastoral care.

I live in the village and have one Grandson attending Earith Primary School.

Tom Abbs

 Head Teacher

Tom was seconded to Earith in October 2018 as Head of School and never left!  He is
now Head Teacher. Tom has worked in other leadership roles, including Deputy Head
in schools in Norfolk, including where he setup and led a Specialist Resource Base for
children with Learning Difficulties to outstanding status. He is passionate about driving
school improvement in order to provide better outcomes, and therefore, life chances for
the people that matter the most - the children.
