Background

Friends of Earith School (FOES) was established in 1994. Since then it has raised thousands of pounds to provide much needed funds and resources for the school.

We are a charitable fundraising committee, whose volunteers consist of parents, carers, and teachers.

Our Aim

Our aim is to raise funds for extra equipment and resources that supports the curriculum and further enrichment for the pupils of Earith Primary School.

AGM

Our Annual General Meeting is in October. The school will send out a notice for the meeting and the date will also appear on our Facebook page and this website. The current committee will step down and a new committee will be voted in. 

FOES cannot function without the core committee positions filled: Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary. Equally important are the members. Without members, there is less support for the school which means less fundraising, the outcome of which compromises our main aim above.

General Meetings

Meetings are held at least once every term, depending on planned events. Members do not have to attend each meeting but we are always looking for new ideas and help with planning upcoming events.

Events

Along with fundraising, we also support & run events and activities that the children really enjoy and look forward to, adding to their experience at Earith Primary School. These include, but are not limited to:

  • QUIZ NIGHTS
  • BINGO
  • EASTER EGG HUNT
  • CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
  • BAKE SALES
  • DANCEATHON

Impact

Over the last few years, we have helped the school to purchase:

  • THE FOES 400: £400 for each of the four classes, plus £400 to improve resourcing the lunchtime provision – purchases made based on pupil voice
  • £10 trip cost reduction per child/family (every child in school)

  • CHICKEN SETUP
  • FOOTBALL GOALS & BENCHES (GRANT SUPPORT)
  • TRIM TRAIL
  • ACTIVITY CUBE
  • OUTSIDE MUSIC EQUIPMENT
  • STORAGE SHEDS
  • BASKETBALL HOOPS
  • OUTSIDE LEARNING EQUIPMENT FOR EACH CLASS
  • CHRISTMAS CRACKERS
  • BOOK BAGS FOR NEW STARTERS
  • YEAR 6 LEAVERS GIFTS & DONATION TOWARDS LEAVING TRIP
